The location Eixample is a 19th century classic of urban planning and first choice, by many visitors and locals alike, for dining and nightclubbing etc. It is also where you find the majority of architectural gems from the modernisme era and countless art galleries, design stores and cafés. The area around Sagrada Familia is a quiet residential zone. Sagrada Familia station is right in front with blue (L5) and purple (L2) lines. You go tothe beaches by the subway via two stops (Yellow line) from the Verdaguer station, and to Plaça Catalunya and the Barcelona Old Town in 5-7 min (Red line).
